Hey, Chris here 👋
This week I wanted to share with you a strategy that we’ve been using at Gatsboy in Digital form that was inspired by Waffle House in the US.
When I was building an audience on LinkedIn I’d look at who was creating great content in my niche, the type of content they create and who were engaging.
I’d do this for two reasons:
1. So I could see what content they posted that generated a lot of engagement
2. An opportunity to comment on their posts to gain followers & attention
It was a challenge I set to try and build up recognition of Gatsboy by leaving comments on these posts that were funny, helpful or offered a different view.
So, how does any of this relate to you and growing your audience online?
Well last month, Jon Brosio on Twitter was talking about an American restaurant chain known as “Waffle House” and how he had been using their real-world marketing strategy but had replicated it online to grow his following.
Here’s how it works 👇
